Is this diet good for diabetics?

I am not a physician and you will want to consult your physician before beginning a new diet. That being said, with all of the research I have done, I believe the Ketogenic diet is the best diet for diabetics. It helps to control blood sugar so you won’t have the spikes and dips from high carbohydrate foods. It controls cravings and allows you to be in control of your appetite.

Can I do keto if I am allergic to dairy?

Yes you can. The Beginner’s Plan to Keto Success includes some dairy free recipes to get you started. You can also omit the dairy in most recipes that include it and still have delicious choices to choose from.

Can I do keto if I am a vegetarian?

Yes you can. This is a bit challenging, however, since your main sources of fuel on keto are eggs and meat. You can include foods like tofu, eggs, cheeses, nuts and low glycemic veggies. There are a couple vegetarian recipes in The Beginner’s Plan to Keto Success to get you started but additional recipes on hand would be suggested to complete your entire first month’s meal prep.
